Fez Sacred Music Festival offers uplifting sounds

As the name implies, the Fez Sacred Music Festival is an event that has the power to uplift any attendees.
Taking place from June 1st to the 10th, the festival attracts thousands of artists from every corner of the globe.
Styles ranging from Sufi chants from the local area, to gypsy songs from nearby Spain and a wide range of other devotional music will not fail to entrance listeners.
Past festivals have included the famous whirling dervishes from Iran, Ravi Shankar and Youssou N'Dour.
Visitors should be sure to attend the free concerts which take place in the beautiful Bab Bouiloud Square and the Sufi nights at Dar Tazi.
Fez is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, with the other three being Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat.
The famous Medina of Fes el Bali is world renowned and is classified as a Unesco World Heritage Sight.
